Like I said in my last post, we were going to leave and head to Capri but things changed. While in the skippers meeting we heard that there might be a chance we would have to stay on the boat and not get off to go to Capri. That was all I needed to hear, and I asked Julio if we could spend a second night in Amalfi and he was very happy to accommodate us.
When we woke up we were trying to figure out what we should do, and well of course we began the day with cappuccino and a croissant.
After we ate we decide that we would tour on foot around Amalfi. We walked back to the square and explored. We found churches that date back to the 970s, how amazing and old. We found shops & bars. We found this lovely little bar to get a drink at, and not only did they get us our drinks but in this case they also gave use some of the most delicious bruschetta.
And to think this was complimentary with our drinks
Sights around Amalfi
Around mid-day we decided to take the boat out for a little spin in the harbor and check out the towns south of Amalfi from the water. It was such a beautiful ride in the sea!
Brenda & I decided to sit on the swim platform as we cruised around looking at Ravello and Amalfi from the water.
After our cruise we went on a quest to find a place to eat dinner. we walked into town, up the hill and up stairs, and deep into Amalfi to find the perfect hole in wall Resturant to have dinner at. It was a success and we found the cutest place to eat. And did we eat. We hade some local wine, appetizers, pasta and cocktails and we did not spend much money.
