Launch day for Añejo

In the middle of talking about our trip to Italy, though I would give you all an update on Añejo, since this is the reason we are all here to begin with.

Last week Añejo splashed into the water at Cape Ann Marina, where she spend the winter on the hard, or in dry dock. Splash in day is a big deal for the Captain and I since it marks the start of summer and sailing season.

The Captain had already sanded and painted the bottom. So she was ready to launch. After Añejo splashed in, we had to get to work to get her ready.

The other day we moved from the marina to our mooring.

Here you can see we have installed the sails on both furlers, the head sail and the main.

After we did this we installed the new dodger, and it fit like a charm. We would like to give a shout out to The Canvas Store in Huntington, NY. They actually made the original canvas on the boat when she was brand new, and they have now also made the replacement and we are very happy with the results.
